There are only a few kilometers between the start of the sixth stage on the BergeSeen eTrail in Bad Aussee and your destination in Altaussee. But it is simply too beautiful to connect the two places directly with each other here in the Ausseerland. Instead, a 67-kilometer stage awaits you today, where you can discover the region's beautiful lakes, picturesque alpine pastures and fantastic viewpoints. Again, you should keep an eye on your battery. If you are unsure, better pack the spare battery or charger. The tour starts in Bad Aussee, from where you head for the idyllic Ödensee through the Sarsteinwald and over the Kainischtraun. If you fancy a stop for a bite to eat, the stylish Kohlröserl hut is ideal here, from where you can enjoy a great view of the water. Freshly strengthened, it then goes steeply uphill towards the Steinitzenalm and down a brisk descent to Bad Mitterndorf. The route now leads you moderately uphill along the Salza for a while, until it becomes rather steep at the end following the Kochalmweg. On the right below you can see the beautiful Salza pastures before you reach the highest point of the tour at 1,205 meters.Once at the top you really deserve a short break with a wonderful view. From here you can already see the path that you follow downhill. It leads you to the shore of the Grundlsee, where a dip in the water can cool you down. From now on the route runs comfortably without really long climbs to the stage destination Altaussee, where you should definitely plan a stop at the lake of the same name. Its dark blue color creates a very special mood and makes a beautiful photo motif. There are also some places to stop for a bite to eat, so that you can round off the tour with culinary delights in front of the unique lake scenery.
