Stage 5 of the BergeSeen eTrails is again a small challenge for you and your e-bike with almost 67 kilometers and more than 1,600 meters of altitude. A little planning in advance cannot hurt, so that you can experience an unforgettable day. Before you set off, you should think about the range of your battery and your provisions. There are a few places to stop for refreshments along the way, but almost all of them are spread over the first third of the tour, so it's a good idea to pack a few snacks for later. If your battery doesn't last that long, take a second one or plan a stop at the Agathawirt in Bad Goisern. Now it starts. Today you can expect wonderful panoramic views, impressive waterfalls and many beautiful trails, which are easy to drive. The first highlight is not long in coming. It is not for nothing that the front Gosausee with Dachstein in the background is one of the most popular photo motifs among Austrians! If you start early enough and arrive here in the morning light, the "wow effect" is all the greater. After you have taken your souvenir photos, the longest climb of the day is waiting for you, which leads you over the Ebenalm and past the Löckermoos bog to the Rossalm and a little later to the highest point of the tour at 1,502 meters. In the meantime, there are a few places to stop for refreshments - maybe you fancy a second breakfast? Afterwards, the promising descent to Lake Hallstatt is pure enjoyment. Again and again you have an impressive view of some of the most impressive waterfalls in the region. When you arrive at Lake Hallstatt, your swimming trunks cry out for use. How about a refreshing dip in the cool water before you relax and follow the flat, natural bike path around the lake? In Bad Goisern the route bends to the right and the climb is crisp again. If you pass the Pflinsberg castle ruins with a lookout tower, you will soon be there. From now on, it only goes downhill to the stage goal Bad Aussee.

Monday to Thursday may not (yet) be passable due to blasting workers on Lake Hallstatt. You should inform yourself before the tour.
