Departing from Lanslevillard, a high-altitude course above Lake Mont Cenis, with a superb view of the Vanoise, the glacier with the largest ice cap in Europe. The vast majority of the route is done by bike, on 4x4 tracks and well packed paths by the passage of walkersThe passage at the top of Mont Froid (or cold mountain) is the climax of the route. After a short section to carry your bike, a "singletrack”. The alpine trail will take you to the summit at 2819 m, the view is incredible with a 360 ° panoramic view of the Maurienne and up to the unmissable Grand Paradiso!Another point of this route is to the refuge Petit Mont Cenis (a mountain retreat for hikers), the reception is excellent and the lunch menu, polenta & sausage is a "must".A possible alternative is to ride to Fort de la Tura from the Mont Cenis pass, a reminder of the wars between France and Italy, the fort is full of underground galleries, the view and the atmosphere are worth the detour. This course does not reveal any major technical difficulties, but you will have to be in good shape because the difference in altitude is there.
