This tour is a tour of the beautiful island of Schouwen-Duiveland. Along the way you will enjoy beautiful beaches, polders, forests and attractive villages. You start the Tour from the popular destination Burgh-Haamstede. The core is a tourist attraction thanks to the many sights. An example is the Slot Haamstede located in a beautiful forest. After less than five kilometers you can take a look at the Oosterschelde for the first time. From the cycle path over the dike you also have a view over the Oosterscheldekering. If you cycle a little further, the view will only get better. The route continues towards Zierikzee. At Kerkwerve you leave the cycle path along the Oosterschelde. You cycle to the northern part of the island via the polder landscape. After the picture Scharendijke you see the former sea arm of the North Sea the Grevelingenmeer. You will reach Renesse beach along the Brouwersdam, which separates the water between the Grevelingenmeer and the North Sea. Here you will find numerous restaurants to take a break. The route continues southwards via the center of Renesse. The route partly goes through the Kop van Schouwen nature reserve. This area mainly consists of sand dunes and grasslands. The final destination is about three kilometers away: Burgh-Haamstede.
