From the car park we cross the federal road and start on the Aggertal-Radweg to the right in the direction of Wahlscheid. Before Kreuznaaf we leave the cycle path and turn right onto the K34 in the direction of Höffen. After about 300 meters we take the second branch to the right, which leads us over a well paved but quite steep road through the forest up to Grimberg. Grimberg is today a small, rural influenced village, which was already mentioned around 1200 in a document. At this time, as in other places on the "Breidter Ridge", miners lived here, prospecting for ore in the nearby mines. Relicts of these activities are to be recognized in good places in the Naafbachtal in different places; Grimberg is directly above one of these tunnels.
We drive up the Röllberger Straße through the so-called "lower village" until we come to a bus turnaround, which is also the center of the village. By the way, the big yew tree, which stands right at the small half-timbered house, is designated as a natural monument. We now follow the long road up to the K 37, which we cross to drive past ponies and goats along the dirt road to Salgert. From here it goes down the mountain to donors and givers around.
Along a farm path, which offers a beautiful view over the Jabach Valley, we drive to the farm road that leads to the Breidtersteegsmühle Jabach Valley. In this mill, even today grain is ground with hydropower. For kindergarten or school groups, there are tours of the mill operation, which otherwise sells organic products, feed and garden supplies.
We cross the road and follow the farm road until we reach the street "Auf dem Luxenberg" below the kindergarten and the gym in Breidt.
If you want to take a short break, turn left and drive a few meters up to "Haus Wacker", a restaurant with a beer garden.
If you want to continue, follow the path that leads into the small valley. Passing a small but attractive wetland habitat, we stay in the valley and drive along the well-developed farm track always parallel to the K37 to Krahwinkel. Driving along this road we reach after a short time the "village road", which we accompany left up to the "Krahwinkler road" (K37) and follow this then right hand over the federal highway 56 away. At the next junction we turn right over Pohlhausen to Hochhausen, where we cross the B56 again at the "Hochkreuz". After a "left-right combination" we cross Birk and drive over Algert down to Lohmar. Passing the fish farm, we turn right towards the main road and follow it to our starting point in Donrath.
    stations:
Donrath, Kreuznaaf, Grimberg, Salger, Geber, Breidt, Krahwinkel, Pohlhausen, Hochhausen, Birk, Inger, Algert,
    Lohmar-site.
