This tour describes the way from Pottenstein to Nuremberg in one go. It is a feasible day tour and since there are no particularly long climbs, there is enough air to enjoy the beautiful Franconian nature and maybe even a hearty stop in the beer garden. Despite the manageable vertical meters, a few ingenious descents await you on the way, which are the icing on the cake of this stage. Before you really get going, you can have a delicious breakfast in Pottenstein and prepare yourself for the long day in the saddle. Then you leave the village heading south and switch from asphalt to loose forest paths. Shortly after the small town of Neudorf, the first brilliant trail awaits you. You drive between impressive rock walls and partly on technically demanding terrain. If you can't decide between amazement and adrenaline rush, just stop for a moment and enjoy the striking scenery in peace. In Simmelsdorf you have the opportunity to strengthen yourself after almost half of your tour. If you still have space in your backpack, you can also pack all the goodies and take them to the quarry lake six kilometers away. The lake is an ideal spot for a picnic or just for a short break. Immediately afterwards, a picture-perfect trail awaits you, which you can plow freshly strengthened.A little later the next postcard-worthy spot is waiting for you: the small town of Lauf an der Pegnitz. In the picturesque city center, various hosts tempt you with ice cream, cake or coffee. Once again you can rest a bit and look forward to the last section of the tour. This is part of the Franconian Dune Trail and really puts you in a good mood. Enjoy the last trails of the day again before you come back to Nuremberg and your adventure comes to an end.
