Today we did a hike in the Odenwald between Schwanheim and Lindach.Starting point in Schwanheim cemetery parking lot.
First we went through Schwanheim into the forest to the little chapel Kirchel. Then it went on the forest highways to the jungle path. Through the jungle path we reached the Stolzeneck castle ruins. The castle ruins are closed due to the risk of falling rocks. You can still take a break there. At the castle ruin we probably enter the most beautiful section of the Neckarsteig and continue on the climb, including the alpine hiking section. Then we reached the heron lake with its water lilies. After the lake we continued to Schwanheim without any noteworthy increases.
Sights: Kirchel, jungle path, Stolzeneck castle ruins, Neckarsteig, Reihersee.

Unfortunately, when we hiked the Neckarsteig some time ago, we didn't go to the castle ruins because we were in a hurry to reach our accommodation (Neckarkatzenbach, Heuhotel). Beautiful area. 👍

Yes Stephan. I thought we were almost everywhere in our area, but you can always find something new. It was planned spontaneously. And Neckarsteig is definitely on the map in the near future.
