Stage 2 of the Salzburger Almenweg. Again, this stage is wonderful with "the best friend of man" to commit. Home is the dog-friendly Arthurhaus. After about 15 minutes walking you will reach already the first water source, which invites with refreshing mountain spring water for a short break. We continue on almost constant altitude on the southern flank of the Hochkönig. Almost the entire stage is accompanied by the impressive view of the Hochkönig massif. The best way to enjoy the panorama in the course of a stop in one of the numerous mountain pastures along the way. First you reach the Windraucheggalm, shortly thereafter to the Riedingalm and after the march through the Riedingtal the next ones are already waiting: Schartenhütte, Molterauhütte or Brandstätthütte. After about 3.5 hours walking you reach the Erichhütte. In summary: Fantastic panorama and spoiled for choice in the huts selection. One of the most beautiful stages of the Salzburger Almenweg!
