This hike in the Lesachtal welcomes both two and four-legged friends. In one of Carinthia's most beautiful and unspoiled valleys, mountains, wide meadows and a small river share an area that could not be more beautiful. The moderate hike to the quaint Wieseralm, where you have covered about 400 meters in altitude, starts below the Almwellness-Resort Tuffbad. The best way to get there is on the fortified forest road, or on the shortcut via cramps. Second variant offers you a fantastic alpine meadow, which radiates its own charm depending on the season. Here are colorful alpine flowers - in the spring of the protected lady's slipper, later Turquoise collar lilies and countless colorful butterflies. The path leads you further through a stream bed, whose cold water offers refreshment for two- and four-legged friends, then a meadow path leads to Wieseralm. The small hut is hosted by Martha and Franz Josef Rauter. They serve exclusively with home-style food such as bacon, cakes and fresh juices. Since the Wieseralm opens only from 9.30, the innkeepers have cooled down juice, beer and schnapps in the well for early risers. A small wooden cash box is available for payment. If you want to hike even higher, continue from the Wieseralm to the Guggenberger Sattel and the Samalm. Attention: From Samalm there is no rest stop. Take enough food!
