On the trail of the Hollfeld Marienweiher pilgrimage in the Corona year 2020
Actually, actually this weekend the traditional pilgrimage of Hollfeld to the pilgrimage site in the Franconian Forest would have taken place if this darn virus 🦠 had not come across the country. Believers from Hollfeld around Peter and Paul have been coming to the sanctuary since around 1600. This has been organized since 1827 and with a large group of pilgrims. In all this time, a pilgrimage has never been canceled - except in times of war - and even there, individuals have always walked to the pond on behalf of the community. So we went today to visit the place of grace on our pilgrimage weekend. We were delighted to learn that other people from our city had the same idea and were also on their way. Some people would lack something important this weekend, because if you open your heart in this place, you will experience a deep satisfaction. Marienweiher is indisputably a place of power. Here people experience help at all times in the worries and needs of everyday life. Of course, a pilgrimage is above all a community experience, which was missing this year. But there will also be other times, so that in 2027 we can celebrate our 200th anniversary in a hopefully large community.
You made up for it 👍

You always do great tours 👍🏼 And fantastic photos! Now I also feel like matjes 😋 And I would take such a beer too 😊
Beautiful paths and landscapes, no wonder that so many people want to go on a pilgrimage. Great pictures.
