On the sixth stage you have a few meters of altitude ahead of you, but you will be rewarded with fascinating views. Starting from Tirschenreuth, you cycle through a colorful cultural landscape and smaller forests. You follow the very well developed Vizinalbahnradweg, which brings you directly to the border with the Czech Republic. At an altitude of almost 800 meters you drive through quiet forest areas, but you also come across great views again and again. You roll down from the Ahornberg and pass the Jakobuskirche in Marchaney, which stands out against the green surroundings with its white facade. Afterwards it goes down into the valley of the Wondreb and in the place of the same name a detour to the dance of death chapel is worthwhile. After viewing the unique ceiling paintings, the path takes you in a constant up and down to Bad Neualbenreuth. The cafes on the historic market square invite you to take a break. Around the market square there are many houses with Egerland half-timbering - a half-timbered shape that can only be found in a few places along the Bavarian-Bohemian border. You can really relax in the Sibyllenbad with its large bathing and wellness area.Strengthened you start the last kilometers of the day and cycle near the Czech border to Waldsassen. The beautiful monastery town with its colorful baroque buildings is your destination for today.
