The Pfalzerwald: the name says it all. Lots of forest, miles of car-free roads surrounded by trees. A minus (you get spoiled): few views. Transition to the Rhine Valley was surprisingly beautiful, with a nice pouf at the end. After that it was flat. Not the parts for which I am cycling holiday (although…
