I no longer need an app for this circular route, as I already made the circular route once in autumn. As well as in winter. However, the winter hiking trail is slightly different. From Kandersteg, take the gondola to the Sunnbühl mountain station. The train journey costs 18.00 with the half-fare travelcard. From the mountain station it is a leisurely 40-minute walk to the Arvenseeli. First you cross the Splittenmattsee. Whereby lake is meant rather generously. A few hundred meters north of the Valais canton border at an altitude of 1888 meters above sea level lies the crystal-clear Arvensee in the middle of a Swiss stone pine forest. The perfect place to take a short break. Although the lake is very small, it has become a popular photo opportunity in the Bernese Oberland. After a short and humane ascent, the path leads back to the mountain station of Sunnbühl.The hike is technically very easy and can be done well with dogs and children. If you like it more exhausting, you can choose the option via the Gemmi Pass. I cannot report anything about this tour myself.

I did the winter hiking trail via Schwarenbach to the Gemmi Pass this winter - it's great and I can highly recommend it to you. And then back to Kandersteg by gondola, bus and train.
