Krombacher planned a hike.
June 15, 2020
This hike takes you to the 1,214 meter high Fichtelberg, the highest mountain in the Free State of Saxony. To do this, set off for Oberwiesenthal and march right in the heart of the village.First to the market square, then via Vierenstraße you will soon reach the Waldeck. Here you turn into the Philosophenweg. It always takes you along the edge of the forest and over the two ski lifts, finally changes into the waterway that leads you to a small hut at the corner farmer. Now the final spurt is on the summit. So you have to be a little patient and challenge your condition. Then you stand at the top, at the (well-built) summit of the Fichtelberg. Here you will find the top station of the cable car, a peace bell and several beautiful hiking trails. A short rest pays off. And when you are ready, you only hike - except for a few short abbreviations - down the same path back to your starting point.
