Wonderful ride and easy to do even with the kids like I did today. It starts and arrives from the town of Santa Maria del Taro, the first stretch is on a paved road in the direction of the Grondana locality, you walk along the Taro stream first and the Rio Incisa after, characteristic of the old power plant, at some point, shortly after the junction for Pianazzo, turn left and take an old road that in a short time leads to the oldest mine, that of San Giovanni with a wonderful waterfall nearby that watches over it. This first stretch is also suitable for MTB bikes.Returning just back to the Santa Barbara mine, we climb a narrow path that takes us to altitude, from here on, the waterfalls will be the protagonists of the tour that will take you to touch the Campeggi and Casoni locations and then return to the starting point.Along the way, we only get water points in the places we touch, to avoid in cold periods due to the possible presence of ice and in too hot periods.Attention should also be paid to the existing bridges in the final part of the itinerary and to the vegetation that can hide the central part of the route in the summer. A tip to use long pants and hiking shoes even in the warm months 😉
Thanks, I saved the track and hope to do it soon. Thanks for sharing!
