Always along the water - The TeichKulturRunde takes you through a unique landscape that is characterized by countless fish ponds. The water areas of the fisheries represent a complex ecosystem for numerous animal and plant species and give this tour its unique character. You start in beautiful Höchstadt an der Aisch and leave the city over the Alte Aischbrücke. Following the river, you come to Voggendorf, where the rustic Voggendorf cellar invites you to take a break. With a little luck you can watch storks on the meadows in Aischgrund around the village. The next highlight is the village of Gottesgab, which is surrounded by a mosaic of ponds. On flat bike paths and side streets you cycle further into the pond area near Mohrhof. The extensive water areas are a paradise for waterfowl and in the nearby Neuhaus it is worth visiting the fishing museum. The view of Neuhaus Castle, which is located directly on the water, is particularly beautiful. Then it goes past carp ponds, wide meadows and fields to Pommersfelden. There you can visit the magnificent Weissenstein Castle with its extensive park. Then you drive through the picturesque valley of the rich Ebrach and the forest area on the Red Mountain back to the starting point in Höchstadt.
