Gentle vineyards, shady forests and small wine-growing villages make up the special charm of the hilly Bocksbasche circuit. You cycle through almost 100 kilometers through the idyllic landscape in the southern Steigerwald. If you don't want to drive the entire route at once, you can find accommodations in Huttenheim or Weigenheim, for example. You can also shorten the tour - you drive directly from Weigenheim through the Franconian wine paradise to Uffenheim. From the starting point at the Ipsheim train station, the route goes gently up and down to the northwest. The path leads along streams and old mills and you will meet ponds and ponds again and again. In the picturesque wine-growing villages along the route, there are numerous opportunities for a stop and a tasting of the local wine. On Langer Berg you can enjoy a glass of wine in Meier's panoramic hut with a view of the vines. You cycle through the colorful cultural landscape to the imposing Frankenberg Castle, which is worth a visit. A dream place for a break is the wine paradise barn on Bullenheimer Berg - with a magnificent view of Franconia you can try excellent Franconian wine.Traditional mills await you in the valley of the Iff and through the landscape characterized by hedges, orchards and vineyards you reach the margrave town of Uffenheim, the center of the agriculturally important Gollachgau. After exploring the winding streets of Uffenheim, you drive slightly uphill to Rudolzhofen. Bad Windsheim, the only spa in Middle Franconia, awaits you with its historic old town and along the Aisch you drive back to Ipsheim.
