Many Dutch cyclists are familiar with the hilly roads around Berg en Dal. But not many know that these hills are part of the much larger "Nederrijnse Heuvelrug" that runs far into Germany. This route takes you over the ridge all the way to the Xanten. Prepare for a day out on quiet country roads over gentle rolling hills, wide views over the Rhine Valley, descent German quality roads, lush forests on the hill tops and a coffee stop with Kaffee und Kuchen in the historic town of Xanten.
