Your tour up to Hexensee and Tieftalsee begins with a relaxed gondola ride up to the Medrigalm at 1,800 meters above sea level. About 100 meters from the mountain station, you take the path towards the Istalanz Valley. And that is exactly what you are now hiking through - up to the Masnerjoch. The panorama that is revealed to you on the 2,685-meter high yoke does not require many words: Among others, you can see the Hexensee and the Hexenhütte. You want to go there now too.A descent leads you down and you definitely deserve a break. Then the path below the hut takes you towards Kölnerhaus, Lazit and Scheid. It goes slowly for a while - the nature up here is impressive! Arrived in Scheid and shortly afterwards at the crystal-clear Tieftalsee, the next steep section up to the 3,004 meter high Furgler begins. Maybe you will come across one or two marmots. If not, there is no need to be sad - just wait until you see the view from the top!The descent is via the Furglerjoch and the Ascherhütte - by the way, another nice place to stop for a bite to eat. Then continue via the Medrigalm back to the mountain station of the Medrigjochbahn. Be sure to check the cable car travel times so that you don't miss your “flight” to the valley: see.at/de/Active/Active-Summer/Bergbahnen-Tickets. Alternatively, you can also spend the night at the Ascherhütte. You can find more information here: see.at/de/More/Service/See-A-Z/Ascherhuette-im-Sommer_isd_171596.
