Paznaun-Ischgl planned a hike.
June 2, 2020
This tour takes you up to the Grübelesee in front of a good altitude and almost 16 kilometers in length. But it's definitely worth the effort - at the latest when you're standing by the crystal-clear mountain lake, enjoying the calm water and the panorama all around. From the village square in Kappl you head towards the main street, cross a wooden bridge and shortly after the Kohlplatz follow an ascending footpath up to the Visnitz waterfall. The first wonderful view is not long in coming - you marvel at the waterfall falling about 30 meters over a rock into the valley for a while. Then the same climb takes you back a bit and from the intersection up to the Rotweg chapel built in 1805.For a short while it goes leisurely on a forest path, then the ascent along the Grübelebachs follows to your glittering tour destination. Up here at an altitude of around 2,100 meters, not only does the deep turquoise lake water lie, but also a majestic panorama at your feet. Treat yourself to a long break and let nature work for you. When you are ready, hike a bit back on the same path and follow route number 23 from the Panoramaweg junction. It takes you back to Kappl via Brandau and Lochau.
