This almost 150-kilometer bike tour through the hinterland of the Main Triangle has a lot of variety in store for you: idyllic river landscapes, sunny vineyards and historic villages and towns make this route particularly enjoyable for cycling. On the way you always come through cozy places, so you can plan your stages depending on your fitness and time. The round starts on the MainRadweg in Karlstadt. You cycle a few kilometers along the Main and then turn into the idyllic Werntal at Wernfeld. The 70 km long tributary of the Main meanders through a wonderful green landscape. In between you will always come through typical Franconian half-timbered villages. You continue driving through the open landscape until you reach the Main in Schweinfurt. After a break in the cultural city, the path leads you into the vineyards. You can expect a crisp climb, which is rewarded with a great view of the romantic vineyards and a rapid descent. You will soon meet the Franconian Saale, on whose banks you cycle to Gemünden. There the river flows into the Main. On the MainRadweg you roll back to your starting point in Karlstadt.
