The tour is half an island tour in the north of Fehmarn. It starts in the east at Camping Klausdorfer Strand and leads to Lemkenhafen in the west. Back it goes across the island on side roads. The entire circumnavigation of the island would take a long time due to the many opportunities to pause and watch. Most sections of the route are relatively easy to drive, but the effort is quite high due to the sea wind.
My tip for lunch is the restaurant "Am Deich" between the campsites "Camping am Deich" and "Teichhof Camping".
The Flügger lighthouse is the first choice for coffee and cake. You can get the best homemade apple or cheesecake with coffee there. The ascent to the tower is highly recommended, you have a magnificent view of parts of the island and the sound.

Spent 14 years island vacation there during my childhood. Again and again with the. Cousins experienced adventure. Nice times on Fehmarn ... the wind was always, rain almost never.

    Hello Stefan ,
Thank you for the tour description. From June 7th my husband and I, of course with the bikes, will spend 1 week in Burg. We will take your tips into account. I checked the map straight away. My daughter and husband are at least 3 times on Fehmarn with the edges.
    Thank you very much Christa

@ Agavia: 14 times we were probably not there, but also very often. Initially by bike and camping on the luggage rack, after years with caravans and the children. When we roll over the Sund Bridge, it's like coming home.
@ crista1: Burg is a picturesque town with flair, but is unfortunately overwhelmed by the heavy traffic. From the center of Burg down to the port of Burgtiefe you should use the green bike path that we drove on the tour to Staberhuk. If you don't mind the traffic and the bumpy pavement, you can of course drive the street and see fish smokers and little shops ...
