In the Upper Engadine, many beautiful lakes are waiting to be explored by you. The backdrop could not be more dreamlike: the turquoise, green, deep blue and crystal clear lakes reflect lush green forests and snow-capped peaks. You start in Celerina towards St. Moritz, where you drive along the shores of the lake of the same name. Sometimes along the Inn, then again at a lake you drive to Silvaplana. There you can exchange your bike for a surfboard, because the lake is very popular with kitesurfers. Then you continue on the general road to Maloja. It is worth taking a short walk up to the Segantini Tower, which was once inhabited by the famous painter. The Segantini Museum, which is dedicated to his works, is located in St. Moritz and is definitely worth seeing! From the tower you can see the Maloja Pass and Piz Lunghin, the only triple watershed in Europe and source of the Inn, which flows into the Danube in Passau more than 500 kilometers later. The trail also leads past several impressive glacier mills, impressive witnesses of the last ice age.And now for the most beautiful part of the tour: You drive back to Celerina on the south side of the lakes. You are very close to the water and the way is really fun with the MTB! Since this is a hiking trail with the tolerance of cyclists, you should take special care of hikers. If you dare, you can also swim in one of the lakes. An insider tip is the Lej Nair, which you drive past. There you will also find a barbecue area with wood. Another beautiful swimming lake is the Lej da Staz in the Stazerwald. From there, a great descent leads you back down to Celerina.
