With the 65 km long Eichstätter circuit you cycle through two of the most beautiful valleys in the Altmühltal nature park and climb the promising Jura plateau. Sunny meadows and fields await you, peppered with charming little villages. In the delightful Eichstätt with its baroque cityscape, you start your tour and have to work hard right from the start. It goes a short distance to the Jura plateau. After you have mastered this single big climb, you roll over beautiful meadows and whiz down the last stretch to Titting. There you can recover from the exertions with a break. From here you can concentrate completely on the beautiful nature. The wonderful bike path leads you through the picturesque Anlautertal along lush green meadows, fragrant conifers and the course of the Anlauter. At Kinding you turn south. If you get hungry, just drive further into the village and have a bite to eat. If you are on the weekend or on public holidays, you can also take the leisure bus back to Eichstätt from here.If you are still full of zest for action, continue and you have the Altmühl at your side from now on. In Kipfenberg you have a great view of Kipfenberg Castle, which houses the Roman and Bavarian Museum. The section back to Eichstätt takes you to the Gungoldinger Wacholderheide nature reserve. As a golden finish, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the dry grass slopes with their juniper bushes, which are typical of the Altmühl Valley.
