For the crowning conclusion of the adventure tours in the Taubertal valley, take us on the Hohenloher Residenzenweg. This leads you in a large loop from Weikersheim to Rothenburg ob der Tauber and back. In total, it is almost 82 kilometers to be mastered. From Weikersheim you follow the Vorbach up south to Schrozberg, where you have already reached the highest point of the tour. The path leads through a piece of forest from here to the west and then takes you directly to the Taubertal in Rothenburg. If you would rather ride the tour in two stages, Rothenburg ob der Tauber is of course the perfect option for an overnight stay. There is so much to discover here - from Plönlein, the landmark of Rothenburg, to the Topplerschlösschen to medieval town fortifications - that a few hours alone is probably not enough to absorb everything. From Rothenburg it goes back along the Tauber back to Weikersheim. You pass the towns of Tauberzell, Creglingen and Röttingen, where a short or longer stop is worthwhile - whether just for a physical or even cultural break, that is entirely up to you. While culinary delights are waiting for you in the wine town of Tauberzell, there are a number of museums in Creglingen. In Röttingen you can read the time on the various sundials towards the end of your tour. Not exactly impractical: this way you can make sure that you catch your connecting train in Weikersheim several times.
