Söhni 🏃 and Anne went for a hike.

Today's tour took us around the so-called “hinterland” near Mistelgau, to which several small hamlets feel belonging and connected. There is still the village community here and you know how to celebrate together. For example, the "Hinterländer Kerwa" has a long tradition that goes back to 1891. At the beginning of the 20th century, Lenzer Kerwa was the largest Kerwa in Hummelgau. At that time, however, there was still an inn on the Lenz with its own brewery. A long tradition ended after the last Kerwa was celebrated in 1962 and the inn closed in 1963. In 2004, young Hinterlanders remembered the old tradition and little by little the idea was born to revive the old tradition. Meanwhile, the Hinterland Kerwa, which always takes place on the last weekend in June, has become an integral part of Mistelgau and the entire Hummelgau.
The tour is a tribute to my sister-in-law and my brother, who celebrated their silver wedding 🔗 ❤️ last week and are at home in the hinterland. Because of the 🦠 pandemic, we were unfortunately unable to celebrate together 🎉. All the best 🍀 and: stay healthy! 😷
And again a nice tour 👍
You did a great hike again. Some of the wood carvings are impressive.
Great tour, great descriptions!
Great tour, you are active every day👍
Madness, everything in there. Magnificent landscape + viewpoints, (wooden) culture and natural forces with the right perspective.;-))
Very nice tour and again very well described!
Very nice tour with wonderful pictures. I know the area around Glashütten too. My sister-in-law lives there with her family. The restaurant Opel is highly recommended. 🤗 wish everyone a nice Sunday
There are no blueberry bushes on the side of the road, so I always have to stop 😀
The wooden sunflower is beautiful, overall the wood art is brilliant.
@Stoni: Whenever there is time and health we are outside. Movement is the be-all and end-all. Thank you very much ☺️ 🙏
