On this demanding tour you need to be fit and have a good head for heights, because you can expect a number of vertical meters in ascent and descent. You will be rewarded with a top-class Alpine panorama and a lot of peace and quiet away from the classic ascents.Immediately after you start at the Fellhornbahn valley station, the route goes up along the Warmatsgundbach. On warm days you will enjoy the coolness of the mixed and spruce forest that you are crossing. From the forest you switch to a quiet alpine road and from there to a challenging mountain path. You climb into a beautiful high valley and see the Fiderepass hut high above you for the first time. The last section to the hut leads steeply over scree slopes. For the effort, you can reward yourself with a hearty meal in the hut!Once you have recovered from the hardships of the ascent, you step on a saddle again. Then a promising ridge path leads you up to the top station of the Fellhornbahn. From here you float gently down to the starting point of your hike. Alternatively, you can descend from the hut through the Wildental valley to the Kleinwalsertal valley and then take the number 1 bus back to Oberstdorf.
