The glide path sounds more harmless than it is: on one of the most demanding ascents and descents in the Allgäu Alps, many exposed and steel cable insured spots await you. But your courage will be rewarded, because the path through the Oytal to the idyllic Seealpsee is also one of the most beautiful tours.To start the hike, gently climb uphill from Oberstdorf to the romantic Oytal. Here you will also meet the mountain inn of the same name - save it for a later break. After crossing the Oybach, the exciting part begins: in numerous serpentines and along rope-secured passages, the route climbs steeply.You walk over exposed terrain and accompanied by chamois, marmots and maybe even a golden eagle to the mysterious green shimmering Seealpsee. From here, the site is suspended. For the unique view of the Höfats and the Oytal you climb a little further. In addition to the wonderful view, you can also reward yourself with a well-deserved rest at the Edmund Probst Haus.Freshly rested, the ascent route takes you back down the valley. Once at the valley floor, you can look forward to a gentle meadow path that leads you through the wild and romantic Oytal and to the mountain inn of the same name.After a hearty meal, you can hike or take a rental scooter back to the starting point in Oberstdorf.
