Grenzstein 147: Zum südlichsten Punkt Deutschlands – Wandern rund um Oberstdorf
Oberstdorf planned a hike.
May 2, 2020
Off to the southernmost point in Germany! No hustle and bustle awaits you there, but idyllic tranquility in a flowery, remote mountain world. The chances of seeing a few marmots are pretty good.Your adventure to the south begins on Prinzenstrasse. Past the Fellhornbahn you hike into the picturesque Stillachtal. As a guest at the Buchrainer Alpe you can taste the best, homemade alpine cheese. We continue up through the valley. Once you have reached the Biberalpe, the most difficult and exhausting part of the hike comes - the climb to Grenzstein 147. Because it is so secluded, you will probably have it and the fantastic Alpine panorama to yourself. In the same way as you came, you will start your way back to Oberstdorf.Tip: Since this is an extremely mile-long tour, you have two alternatives: You cycle up to the storage hut and then hike the rest of the way up to the boundary stone. Or you can take bus 7 from the Prinzenstraße stop, the start of the tour to Birgsau and / or on the way back. You will cover nine kilometers each. You can find the bus timetables at: oberstdorf.de/anreise-verkehr/busfahrplaene.html
