In the drizzle I walked around the Pottkuhle with a friend. The "Pottkuhlenteich Landscape Park, Dörentrup", as it is officially called, is a former clay mining area, which is renatured and used extensively. So similar to a natural forest cell, only without the special protection of a nature reserve. The forest can grow here as it wants. The paths are still maintained.Local residents say that the lake used to be the village's rubbish dump. Whole cars are said to be in the lake. On the other hand, it is very popular with anglers. The many wild geese were very exciting. At the beginning of the route we met two, later four wild goose families with their chicks who plucked grass on the meadow. Papa Gans was always watching us, but they didn't become aggressive or hissed at us. We approached carefully and then passed them.In the video below, I captured a family for you. I've never been able to observe the animals in my life so close. In the meantime, the drizzle subsided a bit, so that we let the drone take off briefly. But the picture didn't turn out that way because I wanted to get her down quickly. Water, electricity and electronics don't get along very well 😀
