On the second stage through the beautiful Nuremberg countryside, a varied up and down awaits you. Right at the beginning you drive up to the 570-meter high Schermshöhe, where you can take a first break in the inn of the same name.A refreshing descent through forests and meadows follows. Take some momentum from the descent into the next ascent, which leads you through an equally picturesque landscape to Viehhofen. After you have mastered another, crisp climb, you enjoy a long descent to Velden. Here, about halfway through the stage, you more than deserve a leisurely break. You can stop off in rustic restaurants and cafés or just sit on the banks of the Pegnitz and enjoy the view of the water. You then cycle through the Pegnitztal along the playful loops of the river. You master some small climbs along the way, but gradually it gets flatter. From Eschenbach you roll comfortably on a slightly downhill route via Hohenstadt to the stage destination Hersbruck. Here you have a large selection of places to stop for refreshments and overnight stays. In Hersbruck you also have access to the S1 to Nuremberg and the regional rail network of Deutsche Bahn.
