As an absolute highlight, you hike the Brend with its pretty lookout tower on this diverse tour. The hike is short, but still peppered with a number of vertical meters. It starts in the idyllic Nonnenbach valley. On an inconspicuous climb you climb steeply through the original mountain forest. At the height of the Kilpenhof, the forest opens in front of you and you walk up and over a large meadow. At Brendhof you finally see the goal, but there are still a few meters to master. If you stand on the lookout tower, you are also on the European watershed between the Danube and the Rhine. From here you can see the hilly Black Forest and the deeply grooved valleys. In the Naturfreundehaus Brend you can enjoy your meal. The way back is over the Günterfelsen with its mighty, moss-covered granite rocks and past long abandoned courtyards.
