April 8, 2020
Pure nature and legendary - you get that and nothing less on this demanding hike with many steep climbs and narrow forest paths. In Gütenbach, on the edge of the ZweiTälerLand, your magical tour begins with a quiet climb. Across a narrowing ridge you come to the namesake of the hike: the Lord God of Balzer. The origin of the stone face, which looks down on you in the middle of a mighty willow, is still a mystery to this day. Over hill and dale it continues into the gorge of the Wilder Gutach and to the Hexenlochmühle. There you can fortify yourself and admire a world-famous photo motif with the mill wheel. At the Rappenfelsen you meet another legend and have reached the lowest point of the tour. Now the path winds steeply from Neukirch up to the forested Friedrichsfelsen and then down to Bregenbach and Gütenbach, where your hike ends.
