"Swigger" has nothing to do with hip youth, this is the first name of the 4th ruler of Gundelfingen from the 12th century. The "Hochgehswiggert", which is a good six kilometers long, leads you in the footsteps of the ruler through the local recreation area Großes Lautertal. The tour starts at the Heiligental hiking car park. You hike over juniper heaths and on lined paths through the picturesque valley of the Lauter. On the way you will pass numerous sunbathing areas, refreshments and barbecues. So take the circular hike in a relaxed manner and treat yourself to an extensive break here and there. On the way you always enjoy wonderful views of the beautiful landscape. You have a particularly promising view at Derneck Castle and the Hohengundelfingen ruins. Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of the Lauter Valley. Just like Swigger used to do before.
