Today I was in the Borken district a second time. This time I chose the beautiful raised bog. The weather was perfect and there were very few guides. Very nice round ...The Burlo-Vardingholter Venn is a nationally significant raised bog remnant, in which the bog regenerates in large parts in numerous dips and former peat bites. It now houses all the stages of development typical for raised bogs, including the transitional forms to the bog, and is therefore one of the most important bogs in the West Münsterland. It lies directly on the state border with the Netherlands and is therefore part of the former moor belt, which formed a natural border between the two countries and language areas from the Lower Rhine to the Emsland. It got its name from the neighboring towns of Burlo and Vardingholt. After the neighboring Burloer Mariengarden monastery, it is also known as the Klostervenn. On the Gelderland side, the nature reserve continues with the 67 ha Wooldse Veen without interruption
Great lap, great photos and a good description of the route👌
Very, very nice pictures, great route 👍🌞
Wow, great pictures 👍. I'm a bog fan 😁. I also hiked the round. Unfortunately the bog was quite dry at the time. And there was little water under the boardwalk. In your pictures the bog looks really fantastic 🤗. Beautiful as the birch trunks protrude from the water.
Thank you ... I'm also a bog fan even if I get stuck in the bog in Erlangen ... oops ... yes that's right, it was fantastic, I didn't expect it that well ...
Hammer👌super beautiful ... great photos👌 I mop the tour times😊🙋♀️
I saved the tour. Thanks for the information and pictures
