This tour takes you from the Rohrmoostal to the picturesque Piesenalpe. It is short but crisp, because there are a few vertical meters to overcome. The reward for your sweat is a fantastic view and really tasty, spicy mountain cheese. From the Rohrmoostal you first drive deeper into the valley towards Sibratsgfäl. After this short warm-up, the climb to the Piesenalpe begins. The asphalted alpine path now goes steadily uphill: partly steep, partly moderate, through the Sperber Winkel, further and further to the cooling floors and finally to the alp. The Piesenkopfalpe is directly below the 1,630-meter-high Piesenkopf. There is a small chapel in the middle of the cattle pastures diagonally left above the alpine hut. If you feel like it, a little detour is worthwhile. The idyllic Piesenalpe is also known for its tasty mountain cheese, which is available there on site. Here you can take a break and relax before you go back to Oberstdorf on the same path - only downhill this time.
