After a night in idyllic Fusch, the seventh stage of the Glockner tour starts with the ascent to the Hirzbachalm. On quiet forest trails you hike through the Hohe Tauern National Park and reach the unmanaged alpine pasture, where you can take a breather. Then follow the route over idyllic alpine pastures above the tree line. Many hairpin bends take you up to the cozy Gleiwitz hut at 2,176 meters, which is known for its delicious dishes. There is also the possibility to spend the night here and thus split the seventh stage. Strengthened you climb up to the Brandlscharte and can enjoy a view of the Brandlsee on the way. You have reached the highest point of this stage on the notch. Your gaze wanders over the surrounding peaks and if you want even more, you can climb the Rettenzink. From the Brandlscharte it goes steeply northwest to the Faltenbachkar. Below the Rosskopf you dive into the silent forest. Following the gurgling Schwarzenbach, you will reach the parking lot of the Kapruner Gletscherbahnen, the destination of the Glockner tour. From here you can take the Postbus to Kaprun or Zell am See and take a last look at the beautiful mountains of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
