Hiking Highlight (Segment)
Done by Frank Meyer
... today I have migrated to the northern part of the Baruther line. The entire trail is a good 50km long and runs in a north-south direction almost through the entire Lankreis Teltow-Fläming. So you can complete it perfectly in 2 stages. The tour was unexpectedly beautiful despite the somewhat monotonous middle section, the absolute highlight was the nature trail at the end of the hike south of Blankenfelde. In the event that you have more information about my tours or you want to immigrate specifically or have any other suggestions, just email me: firstname.lastname@example.org--------------------------Information and tour description:The tour starts at the train station in Zossen, then it goes over the street 'An den Wulzen' to the very beautiful hiking trail on the Notte Canal. Here I followed the way to the official entry point into the Baruther line, where I then had to go back on the other side of the disused railway line. But you can also cross the railway line right at the first rest stop and save about 3km, especially as this section will be gone anyway in the connection section in the direction of Baruth anyway.First, the path leads parallel to the railway line with a view of the fields, then it branches off and leads on the here typical LPG Plattenwegen, later on quiet roads along marsh meadows to Nächst Neuendorf and through the village. Continue past the cemetery and along large agricultural land again on Plattenwege to the next village Dabendorf. This settlement is also crossed, then it goes north through smaller forest areas and along the edge of the forest on dirt roads to the Märkische road. From here it goes on for quite some time on the LPG farm roads with a view of the imposing 'Glienicke TV tower' in the distance, then in a large S-shaped arch through marshy meadow area along many ditches and canals. The Zülowkanal is followed at the end of a good piece on a sandy dirt road, then the path kinks off to the north through a small beautiful forest area and the Rangsdorf lake is reached. Here the path leads along the lake now through forest, then along the lakeside promenade with the Seebadcasino and later again through the forest. Then the trail runs along the Krummen Lanke, an elongated lake attached to the Rangsdorf lake, slightly elevated with a beautiful view of the water. At the end of the lake, the highway of the Berlin ring is under and here begins in my opinion the most beautiful section of the tour with the nature trail. It is a beautiful, narrow path through hilly terrain along the Zülow Canal and the wetland area next to it. Shortly after the rest stop at the Glasowbach it continues along the fence of a former barracks, then after crossing the Bahnhofstrasse in Dahlewitz again on a narrow path along the residential boundary of Blankenfelde directly to the S-Bahn station, the destination of this tour.
Very difficult now in this time of year, in a cloudy sky, to find any splashes of color, but some are there. An old locomotive in a knitted look, a shield, a boat or moss. Your tour was with the 👁👁 follow well. Thanks for that and respect for your walks. 👣👍📷
Hats off, that's quite a stretch
Thank you. From the weather it was ok too, from time to time a bit of drizzle, but the temperatures ideal for hiking.
So your comments on your round is just detailed and well listed. My respect for your work and your laps! 👍👍🚴🏼🚴🏼🚴🏼
Thank you, Paul.
Nice track and photos! Have many recognized again. Between Blankenfelde and Rangsdorf I was hiking last year too. This Farbtupfer locomotive in the station Zossen belongs to the beginning there Draisinen-Bahn in the direction of Mellensee and on to Jänickendorf. In 2015, I went with friends with a bicycle trolley to Mellensee and back. It was fun and recommended.
In the spring I imagine this route very beautiful and Siegried the splashes of color of the locomotive are sufficient for the whole Tour😉, the picture has almost an Indian touch.... and again a 🔝 description Frank!
Thank you very much, Danny.
