This tour takes you to the Gottesacker plateau, where a wild, rugged karst landscape awaits. It's not only exciting if you're geologically and botanically interested. But first things first. It starts at the valley station of the Ifenbahn, from where you make your way up towards the Ifenhütte. After only about three kilometers you have reached this and you can replenish your energy storage with delicacies from the region if necessary before continuing. So much can be said: This hut is the only place to stop for refreshments and meals on this demanding tour. Whether you take a break here or not - you should have enough provisions and drinks with you for the remaining kilometers.Shortly after the hut there is another highlight waiting for you: You climb through the Ifenmulde towards Hahnenköpfle and are amazed by the nearby, steeply falling walls of the Ifen plateau. After a short (and promising) breather on the 2,085 meter high Hahnenköpfle you hike on to the Gottesacker plateau - the real highlight of this tour. Then you go back past some natural highlights until you - after a proud 20 kilometers and 1,120 meters of altitude - finally reach your starting point again.
