On this section of the Dachstein circular hike you can take it easy. On easy trails you hike a little through the forest, pass a lake and finally land by ship in the world-famous Hallstatt. Sturdy shoes and a rain jacket can, as always, be an advantage depending on the weather. Otherwise you do not need any special equipment for this tour. From your neighborhood, the Steinitzenalm, you start walking in the direction of "Strumern". It is a spring in the forest, which is particularly beautiful to look at in spring, but basically in every season. A flat path leads you to Ödensee. If you feel like it, you can cool off here briefly - or even longer - if you like. After the last few days, a round in the moor water will definitely benefit your joints and muscles. Finally, you hike along the Traun towards Bad Aussee. On a forest path and - after crossing a suspension bridge - you walk along the Koppentraun bank, then on the Obertrauner Höhenweg to Obertraun. The nice thing about this part of the hike is the fact that you are always accompanied by water in all possible shapes and colors. So now: Along the turquoise Lake Hallstatt you march towards Hallstatt train station. From there you cross the lake by ship and finally land in today's stage destination Hallstatt. The charming seaside town is known all over the world for its idyllic location and small streets. Once there, you should definitely get your own picture of it. There are also plenty of accommodation options and excellent restaurants. So enjoy it - you deserve it!Tip: If you want to do this hike individually as a day tour, you can take the train to Bad Aussee and from there you can take the Narcissus Jet.More information can be found here:
