“Happiness comes to those who expect it. Only they have to keep the doors open. ”The German writer Thomas Mann already knew that. Almost three kilometers of hiking happiness await you on this round trip, you just have to put on your hiking shoes. It starts at the Waldhotel in Davos. In memory of the important literary figure Thomas Mann, a path named after him was realized. The path connects the main locations of his novel "The Magic Mountain". With the amendment, Davos has secured a place in world literature, which has also contributed to the high profile of the spa and holiday resort. Even today, many people interested in culture come to Davos to follow the trail of the literary figure.Along the way up to the Schatzalp you will find ten panels that, as "literary stations", show the references to Thomas Mann's work in Davos. For example, you pass the “favorite place of Hans Castorps”, the hero of the novel, and end at Thomas-Mann-Platz on the Schatzalp, which was created behind the Alpinum Schatzalp botanical garden. At the end you can have a good time with coffee and cake on the alp and maybe browse through a Thomas Mann novel.
