Rested you start on the second day from the Stuttgarter Hütte in an easterly direction: soon you will pass the Erlijoch at 2,430 meters, which is the highest point of this stage. Between the Erlispitze and the Fanggekarspitze the Lechtaler Höhenweg leads you through the wonderful landscape. The path zigzags down to Alpe Erlach in the Almajur valley. In the summer months, the hut is managed on weekends below the Valluga. Otherwise you can eat your provisions on the sun terrace. After a well-deserved break, the steep ascent to Stapfe-Tobel follows. This section can be dangerous in snow and wet conditions, so we recommend you to go over the Erlachalpe and Bodenalpe if the conditions are bad. Otherwise you hike on to the Fallersteinkopf and Almajurjoch. From there it is only a short distance to the quaint Leutkircher hut on the rounded Almajurjoch. The hut has stood in this exposed location since 1912 and offers hikers a comfortable night's lodging.
