Etappe 7: Von der Bremer Hütte zur Innsbrucker Hütte – Stubaier Höhenweg
Hiking Highlight (Segment)
Tirol planned a mountaineering Tour.
December 28, 2019
The last stage from hut to hut is one of the longest and most demanding. From the Bremer Hütte there are two variants right from the start: one variant leads over a short via ferrata, which you climb down through a chimney. The good thing about this variant: You do not lose any meters in altitude and pass the Lautersee. The second variant turns to the right and is easier, but is accompanied by a slight descent and ascent again. Here we present the variant of the via ferrata.Steadily out of the valley, above the Gschnitztal with the great Tribulaun in the field of vision, it goes on wonderful hiking trails. It is a little more demanding on the so-called "Wasenwand", which is however secured by a rope and equipped with climbing aids. Even if the section is not particularly impressive, great care must be taken here. Once this has been overcome, it goes downhill one last time before going up over the last climb to over 2,500 meters and then steeply down to the Innsbrucker hut. After a long day, you definitely deserve a tasty refreshment. The Isangeralm is the last stop before you descend to Fulpmes at the end of your tour and end your adventure on the Stubai High Trail. If you decide to spend another night at the Innsbrucker Hütte instead of going downstairs, you could climb the hawk the next day - a very demanding and steep alpine hike with via ferrata passages to the 3,277-meter summit. The hawk can be reached in two to three hours, depending on your fitness and ability.
