Rocky islets, 12th-century architecture, and expansive coastal views await on this enchanting hike.

From Church Bay, you follow the undulating coastline past ancient cairns and soon arrive at Traeth y Fydlyn, a beach at the end of a remote valley next to the islets of Ynys y Fydlyn.

You hike over Pen Bryn-yr-Eglwys and Carmel Head and continue along the coast to Hen Borth Beach.

A short time later, the trail takes you past St Rhwydru’s, an isolated little church that dates to the 12th century.

You then hike around the headland and continue along a section of land between Cemlyn Bay and Cemlyn Lagoon.

The trail passes Wylfa Nuclear Power Station and winds around Cemaes Bay to Dinas Gynfor, where you find King Edward VII Coronation Tower, a former look-out that was built in 1902.

You continue along the coast to Bull Bay, where this stage finishes. The village has some options for accommodation and food and drink.
