This stage is now much more relaxed than the last one. It is shorter and you overcome less altitude. That means you have plenty of time to take another walk through Wertheim in the morning. The town lies at the mouth of the Tauber in the Main and is the northernmost town in Baden-Württemberg. Wertheim is a special eye-catcher: Pretty half-timbered houses are lined up in the narrow streets and the castle (komoot.de/highlight/468490) watches over the city. A walk up is worthwhile because of the unique view from the castle tower. The tour starts on the right bank of the Main. The river meanders gently through the landscape, which is characterized by rolling, wooded hills. On the hills you will find some castles built in strategically important locations. These are contemporary witnesses who silently tell of a turbulent past of the Main. A particularly beautiful castle is the Henneburg (komoot.de/highlight/365641).On the very good bike path you glide there until you finally arrived in Miltenberg. The place welcomes you with an impressively well-preserved old town.
