The tour starts below the Niederburg in Kobern. From here, the Moselsteig above the village in the south to Gondorf then turn into the Keverbachtal. This wildly romantic Kerbtal follows the trail for about 2km, then to climb over a steep forest road the Mosel Heights. Now it is a bit boring and steadily upwards over wide fields, so that one is happy when the beets their green head and their "turnip" from the ground stretch. After many kilometers you then dive back into the forest and continue until just before the clouds (no, not in the sky ... the place). The highest point is a wall on the "Kuhstiebel", from which it then descends gradually through the forest and along the Hohesteinsbach to the Matthiaskapelle on the Oberburg and from there further down to the Niederburg. Here comes then again some thrill - if one wants - by the descent over a fixed rope route, with which one climbs over the 5 meters high castle wall by means of a ladder and then over a steep, fallow Weinbergslage with another ladder and steep stairs to the starting point returns.

76 points from the hiking institute promises a lot. Most appealing probably in the summer / late summer
+ Visit the old town on the Moselle
+ Detour to the Goloring (which is closed off)

Ah, that's a piece of the Tatzelwurmweg - was it very muddy?

Yes, the part from the Sauerbrunnen to Oberburg and Niederburg is congruent. Nevertheless, I want to go again. Funny I find the steel Tatzelwurm "direction sign", which indicate the direction with her tail or serve as a handrail in stages.Still it is with the slush, a few places were zermatscht by vehicles, these could be but still pass or without slipping and sinking through. Autumn just ...

Ah ok - yes, I've already seen some when I walked through the shrink valley.
You have also found a guide to "free own design" ;-)
The photos are beautiful - only this week it is still gardening, only on Sunday "may" I go back to the slopes and I'm still looking for not so muddy ways :-)

Ah, I have already run this year. Can I remember the tour very well * laugh * No matter where I arrived, the cake was always off. * Laughs *
I was delighted with the Keverbachtal, so nice there. I really liked the tour.

Your tour & documentary in September is very nice, Tanja.
Have just seen a komoot tour in July, but late summer is the best time - as so often on the Moselle.
