To get to the outer circle of the 100 castles route, you can drive from Münster three different routes past castles, manor houses and mansions. The first route takes you from Münster to the northeast to Füchtorf. From the main station in Münster you cycle out of the city, crossing the Dortmund-Ems-Kanal. Over beautiful meadows and fields you reach the Werse. Through a magnificent meadow landscape you follow the merry loop of the river north to the mouth in the Ems. Here you turn east and roll comfortably through the picturesque Emsauen to Westbevern. The place is about halfway and is thus suitable for an extended break. To stop by, you will find cozy restaurants with a terrace or beer garden. Freshly fortified, you cycle to Ostbevern, where you can stop at Schloss Loburg. Then you drive the last few kilometers through the country idyll of the Münsterland park landscape to Füchtorf. Shortly after the village, you reach the outer circle of the 100 castles route at Harkotten Castle.
