Immediately after Ochtrup, wonderful nature welcomes you: You cycle through the nature reserve Tuetenvenn and then along the edge of the Gildehauser Venn. Shortly after you reach Bad Bentheim. Here lies the hill Bentheim. A visit is definitely worth it, because you can not only visit the castle, but you also enjoy a magnificent view from the castle over the city and the Münsterland parkland. From Bad Bentheim you reach a short but rapid descent back into the middle of nature. Romantic streams cross your path, through which artistic bridges of sandstone lead. Romantic forests and lush meadows extend to the left and right of you. The highlight of this picture book landscape are the Haddorfer lakes, where you can even cool off on hot days.Shortly behind the lakes you reach Neuenkirchen. From here you drive on a nice Bahnradweg, which leads you on slightly downhill route comfortably to the stage destination Rheine. At the end of the day you can take a detour to the monastery Bentlage, which is located on the outskirts of the city.
