Merlene Ottey High School is located in the quiet rural community of Pondside District up in the cool, lush and green hills of Hanover.
The school was renamed in October 1993 in honour of the great female Jamaican sprinter.
If you are riding North bound, a little further than the gate and you will be able to better appreciate the extent of the school’s facilities on your right.
Go about another 200m and on your right in the valley before you, an old church is visible at the top of a local cemetery.
