The building dates from that time. Today's Kigali grew around this building. Photography is not allowed in the building itself.
The exhibition is thought-provoking, as it deals with a very dark spot in both German and European history.

A very beautiful museum and memorial at the same time, which makes you think - the background is, after all, very worrying.
The lower part is all about the genocide in Rwanda - there are also some exhibits that are quite disturbing.
The upper part is about the genocides of the past decades and the murdered children in Rwanda.
It is unbelievable that the world looked the other way for so long.

The most important memorial site for the genocide of the Tutsi in 1994. However, one should also take the time to visit at least one other memorial site for the genocide in the country.
